Travel Media Applications is expanding its operations in Asia, providing representation, sales, marketing and communication services at tourism companies and destinations in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and worldwide for the region of Southeast Asia.

Stratis Voursoukis was appointed Manager of Travel Media Applications for Asian markets in early May, just before the one-year anniversary of TravelDailyNews Asia-Pacific, which launched in Bangkok in June 2012. Stratis undertook the management with the aim to expand the company’s activities in Southeast Asia, initially in the Thailand and Vietnam markets.

“The expansion of our company into Asia cemented through our collaboration with Stratis Voursoukis, with the common goal of our further development in the region, particularly in the representation of tourism companies, destinations and promotion events.  The Southeast Asia region is one of the few in the world that is growing, despite the global recession, both in general economic terms and outgoing tourism. We believe that the opportunities for development are vast,” stated Theodore Koumelis, founder and owner of Travel Media Applications.

“The winning combination of my long-term experience in the operation of travel agencies and sales of travel services with that offered by Travel Media Applications in the wider tourism industry is the perfect fusion. Hence, by taking the next step, we have created the ideal conditions for the expansion of the company into the representation of tourism companies, hotels and destinations so as to ensure they are properly promoted in new, developing and promising markets,” declared Stratis Voursoukis. “I am convinced that our success is assured,” he added.

Stratis Voursoukis has played a key role in the executive management of large Tour Operators for the past decade. He lived and grew up in Zaire, Africa, and returned to Europe to complete his studies. In 1999, he graduated from Northumbria University in Newcastle, United Kingdom, with a Bachelor (Hons) in International Business Administration. He went on to acquire an MBA in Strategic Management from the University of York, United Kingdom.
